My name is Erica Dean, and I am an EMDRIA-certified therapist and EMDRIA Approved Consultant-in-Training. I offer support for clinicians pursuing EMDRIA certification, as well as for those looking to deepen and refine their EMDR practice.
Consultation
I completed my EMDR training through the EMDR Institute in 2023, and EMDR is my primary therapeutic modality. I use this structured, evidence-based, eight-phase approach to support the reprocessing of traumatic experiences, reduce emotional distress, and foster resilience. I have experience using EMDR across a variety of settings and supporting clients with a wide range of presenting concerns.
As a consultant, I support clinicians in strengthening their case conceptualization and treatment planning through the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model, as well as applying the standard EMDR protocol with confidence and consistency. I offer guidance in working with complex trauma, dissociation, and developmental trauma, and I am trained in specialized EMDR protocols, including the Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol (R-TEP), Group Traumatic Episode Protocol (G-TEP), and FLASH Technique, which can be especially helpful in addressing acute and ongoing trauma.
